Who is VGMG?

VGMG is short for VeGas Meet n Greet.  

We are a local, socially active group who came together as strangers from meeting online.  Our first conversations started on BlackPlanet some years back when that site was poppin'.  Now, that place has changed into something where you might not even be talking to a real person (stolen pictures, stolen lies...lol) and may not be located in the United States.  And it's not just that site, it's many other networks where you question the person behind the screen.

What started out as a simple book club grew into meeting at events such as jazz clubs, happy hours to BBQ's.  The people who really wanted to connect, were usually people moving to Las Vegas who didn't know many people and kinda felt lost in this fast pace night life.  When a person is new to any city, they have no clue where to go, what to do, the best places to eat, and simply culture-wise what is happening. So this is who we are - we socialize - we befriend you - we invite you to participate both online and offline to appealing events and places within Sin City. 

I guess you could call us a type of support group.

    What do we do?  Where do we go?

Our very first event was bowling.  And how we came up with bowling was basically me asking my 500 online members what types of activities they enjoyed doing.  Bowling seemed to be at the top of the list, so that's what we started doing.

There are many things we have done and continue to do.  Our wine club became a big hit. Hmm, I wonder was it the GOOD food or the WINE?  I'm betting the wine got them there but the food always complimented the many bottles of wine. Our wine tastings were monthly and we rotated houses to whoever wanted to host.  Now that I think about it, we are long overdue for some wine parties.

Oh! Wait! I said wine, where did that bottle of Hennessy come from. 😃  Well... we do drink a little bit!  This is Vegas after all. I'm not saying you need to be an alcoholic, I'm just saying...we like to loosen up and have adult beverages.

    When do we do things?

When you ask? Well you will just have to first LIKE our page VeGas Meet n Greet and then join our private yet friendly Facebook group to find out when the next event is and what it's going to be.

Many suggested events will be blogged here, but to find out which ones VGMG will be attending...become an active member (which is always FREE to join) and let's connect!
